The citrus fragrance family is a popular category of perfumes that is characterized by bright, fresh, and uplifting scents that evoke the essence of sun-kissed citrus fruits like lemons, oranges, limes, and grapefruits. These fragrances are often associated with summer, warmth, and energy, and are perfect for those who love a light and refreshing scent. Citrus notes are usually derived from the peel or zest of the fruit, which contains high concentrations of fragrant oils. These oils are extracted through a process of cold pressing, in which the fruit is mechanically pressed to release its essential oils.
